Ageing takes place in stainless steel tanks, with a part of the wine being aged in second and third usage barriques for 10 to 12 months

Intense red-purple hue, with pronounced notes of red fruits and red berries with hints of violet. Pleasingly round with soft tannins. Good persistence.

Alberese

Alberese is the stone used in construction in the Chianti Classico area; it is compact, varied in size, and remains unaffected by weather conditions. It is massively resistant to processing and damages machinery.

Arenaria

One of the main sedimentary rocks, even if scarcely dispersed, is the Macigno di arenaria (sandstone), located near streams or areas of water in general. Arenaria varies in size but not composition, morphologically very similar to sands of the Pliocene.

Clay

Clay soil can be of varied composition and with differing elements. It is often light in color and with little adhesiveness, but in other areas it can be red and quite adherent. It can be difficult to work with, extremely tough ......

Galestro is a brittle stone with a vitreous cut. With exposure to weather conditions, it flakes and crumbles gradually releasing precious mineral elements for the plant into the soil. These become vital for the development and uniqueness of the wines. ......
